Dr. Masoud Mirzaei Shahrabi, the president of Khorasan Science and Technology Park (KSTP) stressed the importance of technological cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan in a meeting with Mr. Noureddine Jan Ismailov, the Chairman of the Uzbek legislative assembly during his trip to KSTP. ‘I’m very happy to see you in my country and I hope you have a blessed trip full of good achievements. Khorasan Science and Technology Park contains a large number of big, medium, and small knowledge-based and technological companies’ Said Dr. Masood Mirzaei Shahrabi. “Technological diplomacy is one of the main programs of Khorasan Science and Technology Park, and we are interested in scientific and technological cooperation with neighboring and friendly countries like Uzbekistan. It is hoped that by establishing a technology exchange office in the fields of food, agriculture, energy and mining industries, we will be able to provide valuable services to the country of Uzbekistan” he added. President of Khorasan Science and Technology Park stated: “At the same time, in order to foster the growth of the region in the field of technology and innovation, technological exchanges must take place. In this regard, it is necessary to empower human resources, therefore, in addition to technology transfer, technical knowledge transfer and empowerment of the experts of the countries in question are on the agenda”. “Knowledge-based economy is a high priority at the moment, in this regard, we have established seven technology incubator centers considering the benefits of Khorasan Razavi Province and the region’s needs” Dr Mirzaei said. “We claim that KSTP’s technology products have lower price compare to other foreign products, therefore, these products can be exported to our neighbor countries especially Uzbekistan with a sensible price”.
